Why isn't Q Brown?

I've been playing the new 007 First Light game and so far it's been amazing. But it got me thinking again about a take I've had bouncing around my noggin for a bit now.

You're telling me that with all the top tech companies being run by people of South Asian descent, and the rich history of subcontinental migrants in the UK and high representation of them in Cybersecurity courses and fields; that MI6 wouldn't have more of them in their employ?

It makes no sense that Q would be anything except a Brown man in the James Bond franchise.

Also, in my opinion, it makes more sense to hire a brown guy as a spy than anybody else. If you saw a white guy in the middle of nowhere Near East, you'd be on high alert because they're almost always high profile. However, if it was an Indian dude. you wouldn't bat an eye. They could be anyone from a janitor at the nearby shopping centre to a taxi driver or even a bank manager.

I don't think the character of James Bond himself should be a person of colour though. I can't see it fit and societaly we're not ready for that just yet. We do need to see a lot more diversity though. I must say the game has actually done a great job here, I just hope the upcoming films do a good job too. Can't wait!
